                        Description
                        
                            Coix aquatica (also called water coix, watery-coix, and water-coix, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. It is an annual grass growing up to 1 m tall, with an erect stem and a tuft of leaves at the top. It grows in moist, shady areas such as riverbanks and damp forests.

                            Coix aquatica has non-medical uses such as being used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a source of food for livestock.
