                        Description
                        
                            Brachypodium kawakamii (also called Kawakami's false brome, among many other common names) is a perennial grass species native to East Asia. It has a tufted habit and grows to a height of up to 70 cm. It prefers dry, sunny habitats such as dry grasslands, rocky slopes and scrubland.

                            Brachypodium kawakamii is used as a forage grass for livestock and can be used to help prevent soil erosion.
