Littorella americana (also called American Shoreweed, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the western United States and northern Mexico. It is found in wet, sandy soils in open areas such as roadsides, fields, and disturbed areas near the shore. It has a basal rosette of small, oval-shaped leaves and a single flower stalk with small white flowers.
