Antirrhinum kretschmeri (also called Snapdragon, among many other common names) is an annual or perennial herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean region. It has narrow, lance-shaped leaves and small, white or pink flowers. It grows in dry, rocky soils and is often found in open woodlands, scrublands and grasslands.

Cultivation and Propagation

Antirrhinum kretschmeri can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame or in a greenhouse. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Pot up the cuttings in a lightly shaded position in a cold frame. Plant out in the following spring.
