Piper huegelianum (also called Indian Long Pepper, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to tropical regions of Asia, Africa and the Americas. It has a dense, rounded crown and its leaves are alternate, simple, ovate-lanceolate, and serrate. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and is often found in tropical and subtropical forests.
