Description

Phyllanthus subscandens (also called Indian gooseberry, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to India and Sri Lanka. It has a dense, rounded crown and grows up to 10 m in height. Its leaves are oblong-ovate, with a subscandens margin and a pointed tip. It grows in open woodlands and scrublands, as well as in disturbed areas.
