Cleistanthus caudatus (also called Bristly Cleistanthus, among many other common names) is a species of shrub native to India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. It grows in moist, shady places, such as grasslands, forests, and along roadsides.

Cleistanthus caudatus has small, yellow flowers and small, black seeds. Its seedlings are small and have a thin stem.
