Description
Phryma nana (also called Dwarf Phryma, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub native to China and India. It has ovate-lanceolate leaves and white flowers. It grows in tropical and subtropical climates in open woodlands and grasslands.

Phryma nana has small, white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and glossy. The seedlings have two oval-shaped cotyledons.
Cultivation and Propagation
Phryma nana is an evergreen shrub that prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is best done by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in late summer or early fall. Cuttings should be taken from the current season’s growth and should be about 4-6 inches long. Place the cuttings in a rooting medium such as perlite, vermiculite, or sand and keep them in a warm, humid environment until they have rooted.
