Description
Passiflora zamorana (also called Zamoran Passionflower, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Passifloraceae. It is native to Central America, where it is found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It is found in a variety of habitats, including dry and wet forests, and is often found in disturbed areas.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Passiflora zamorana is white or pinkish in color, with a diameter of up to 6 cm. The seed is a small, round, black seed, and the seedlings are small, green and have a few leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Passiflora zamorana is a fast-growing, evergreen vine that can reach up to 35 feet in length. It is best grown in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
