Description
Pandanus dasystigma (also called Woolly Screwpine, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree with a rounded crown and a dense canopy. It is native to India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, and grows in dry, open forests and scrublands. It has small, yellow flowers and leathery, oval-shaped leaves.

Pandanus dasystigma has small, yellow-green flowers with a white centre and a short, curved spur. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have oval, green leaves with a white midrib.
Cultivation and Propagation
Pandanus dasystigma is an evergreen shrub that can be propagated from seed or cuttings. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate some frost. It can be propagated from cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. The cuttings should be taken from healthy, non-flowering stems and placed in a moist, well-drained medium. Once rooted, the plants can be transplanted into the garden.
