                        Description
                        
                            Xylocalyx carterae (also called Carter's woody aster, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 2 m tall. It is native to the southeastern United States and is found in woodlands, thickets, and disturbed areas. It has small, oval-shaped leaves and small, white flowers.

                            Xylocalyx carterae is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and is also used as a medicinal plant to treat skin problems.

                            Xylocalyx carterae has white flowers with yellow centers. The seeds are small and oval.                         Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Xylocalyx carterae is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach up to 3m in height. It prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring or summer in a well-drained, sandy soil and kept moist until germination. Cuttings should be taken in spring or summer and planted in a well-drained, sandy soil.
