Description
Castilleja patriotica (also called Patriot Indian Paintbrush, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Orobanchaceae. It is a perennial herb with a hairy stem and yellow, orange, or red flowers. It is native to western North America, from British Columbia to California, and can be found in grassland, chaparral, and oak woodland habitats.
