                        Description
                        
                            Castilleja hispida (also called bristly paintbrush, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Orobanchaceae family. It is native to North America, and is found in dry forests and scrublands. It is an annual herb, growing up to 1 m tall, with red flowers.
