                        Description
                        
                            Castilleja dissitiflora (also called distantflower paintbrush, among many other common names) is an annual or perennial herbaceous plant native to western North America. It has bright yellow flowers and grows in open, grassy areas. It is often found in meadows, prairies, and open woodlands.
