Description
Ligustrum leucanthum (also called White-flowered Privet, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub with small, white flowers. It is native to South America and is found in moist soils, along streams, and in open woods.

Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Ligustrum leucanthum has small white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings are slender and have small, ovate leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Ligustrum leucanthum can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in the greenhouse for at least their first winter. Plant out in late spring or early summer. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Plant out in late spring or early summer.
