                        Description
                        
                            Hesperelaea palmeri (also called 'Palmer's Hesperelaea', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the heather family. It is native to the Hawaiian Islands, where it is known only from the island of Kauai. It grows in dry to mesic forests, at elevations of 100–1,000 m (330–3,280 ft).

                            Hesperelaea palmeri is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks.                             Hesperelaea palmeri has small, white flowers with yellowish-green sepals and petals. The flowers are borne in small clusters and have a sweet scent. The seed is a small, black, oval-shaped seed with a smooth surface.                         Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Hesperelaea palmeri is a perennial plant that can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers a moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It can be grown in a variety of climates, but will not tolerate temperatures below -5°C (23°F). When grown from seed, it can take up to two years to reach maturity.
