Olax tepuiensis (also called Tepui Olax, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to South America. It has a dense, rounded crown and grows up to 8 m tall. Its leaves are simple, with entire margins and a glossy green upper surface. It grows in open woodlands and grasslands, and is drought and frost tolerant.

Cultivation and Propagation

Olax tepuiensis is a small shrub or tree that can reach up to 5 m (16 ft) in height. It is best grown in full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is usually done by seed, which should be sown in spring or summer. The seed should be soaked in warm water for 24 hours before sowing to help speed up germination. Once the seedlings have grown to a height of around 10 cm (4 in), they can be transplanted into their permanent positions.
