Description
Mirabilis hintoniorum (also called Four O'clock, among many other common names) is an herbaceous perennial plant native to Mexico and Central America. It has long, slender stems with small, oval leaves and produces large, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pink, yellow, and white. It grows best in full sun and well-drained soil.

Mirabilis hintoniorum has small, yellow flowers with five petals. The seeds are small, black and shiny. The seedlings are small and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Mirabilis hintoniorum can be propagated by seed or by cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained soil mix and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature plants and rooted in a moist, well-draining soil mix. Both methods require bright, indirect light and temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C).
