Description
Phaeoceros delicatus (also called Delicate Phaeoceros, among many other common names) is a species of liverwort in the family Lejeuneaceae. It is found in the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Australia. It typically grows in moist, shady areas, such as in forests, on rocks, or in soil.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Phaeoceros delicatus has small, yellow flowers with white anthers. Its seeds are small and black. The seedlings are small, with a single cotyledon.
Cultivation and Propagation
Phaeoceros delicatus can be propagated by division or by spore sowing. It prefers a moist, well-draining soil and bright, indirect light. It is best to water the plant when the soil is dry to the touch. Fertilize the plant every two weeks during the growing season.
