Description

Nothofagus truncata (also called Truncated Beech, among many other common names) is a species of deciduous tree native to Chile and Argentina. It grows up to 15–20 m tall and has a trunk diameter of up to 0.8 m. It is found in temperate rainforests, and prefers moist, cool climates.
