Description

Myristica fissiflora (also called 'Split-flowered Nutmeg', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Myristicaceae. It is a small tree, growing up to 8 m tall, with a trunk up to 30 cm in diameter. It is native to the Moluccas, New Guinea, and the Bismarck Archipelago, and is found in lowland and hill forests.
