                        Description
                        
                            Iryanthera grandis (also called Iryanthera, among many other common names) is a species of tree native to Central and South America. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 20 meters tall with a trunk of up to 40 cm in diameter. It is found in humid tropical forests, often near rivers or streams.

                            Iryanthera grandis is used as a source of timber for construction and furniture making.
