Description
Calandrinia setosa (also called Bristly Purslane, among many other common names) is a small, succulent, perennial herb found in Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. It has bright pink flowers and small, fleshy leaves. It grows in dry, rocky areas and is often found in grasslands and open woodlands.
Cultivation and Propagation
Calandrinia setosa can be propagated by seed or division. To cultivate, sow the seeds in a well-drained soil mix in a sunny position. Water regularly and keep the soil moist but not soggy. Once the seedlings are established, fertilize every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer.
