Description

Khaya ivorensis (also called Ivory Coast Mahogany, among many other common names) is a species of plant in the family Meliaceae. It is a tree up to 25 m tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 1 m. It is native to tropical Africa, where it is found in primary and secondary forests, at elevations of up to 1,500 m.
