Description

Triolena amazonica (also called Amazonian triolena, among many other common names) is a species of flowering shrub in the Melastomataceae family. It is native to South America, and is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It typically grows in montane forests, at elevations of 1,400–2,100 m.
