Description
Osbeckia wynaadensis (also called Wynaad Osbeckia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Melastomataceae family. It is a shrub or small tree, reaching up to 8 m in height. It is native to Central America and the Caribbean. It is found in wet forests, often near rivers, at elevations up to 2000 m.

The flowers of Osbeckia wynaadensis are small, white and bell-shaped. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are thin and have long, narrow leaves.
