Description
Miconia mexicana (also called Mexican miconia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering shrub in the Melastomataceae family. It is native to Mexico, and is found in the states of Chiapas, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla, and Veracruz. It typically grows in montane forests, at elevations of 1,400–2,100 m.
