Description
Miconia floribunda (also called Floribund miconia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering shrub in the Melastomataceae family. It is native to Central America, and is found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It typically grows in montane forests, at elevations of 1,400–2,100 m.

Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Miconia floribunda is white, with a yellow center and a diameter of approximately 5 cm. The seed is a small, black, ovoid-shaped seed. The seedlings are small, with two opposite leaves and a single stem.
