Description
Miconia flammea (also called Cachimbo, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree, usually reaching a height of 10 m. It is native to the Amazon basin and is found in moist forests as well as in disturbed areas. Its leaves are oval-shaped, with a smooth surface and a pointed tip, and its flowers are white, with a yellow center.

Miconia flammea has small, white to pink flowers with yellow centers. Its seeds are small, black and round, and its seedlings are small and dark green.

Miconia flammea is native to the tropical forests of Central and South America. It can be found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil.
