Description
Meriania paniculata (also called Panicled Meriania, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Melastomataceae. It is a shrub or small tree, growing up to 8 m tall. It is native to the Atlantic Forest biome in eastern Brazil, and is found in moist, lowland forests. It is also found in disturbed areas such as roadsides and secondary forests.
Where to Find Meriania paniculata
Meriania paniculata is native to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It can be found in tropical rainforests, at elevations between 500 and 2,000 meters.
