Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Brachyotum cogniauxii is white with a yellow center and has five petals. The seeds are small, round and black. The seedlings are small and have a single stem with small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Brachyotum cogniauxii is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach up to 8 feet in height. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Propagate by seed or cuttings. Cuttings should be taken from semi-ripe wood in the summer and rooted in a moist, well-drained medium. Seeds should be sown in a warm, moist environment and kept at a temperature of around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
