Description

Blakea nareliana (also called Narel's false-fruited melastome, among many other common names) is a shrub native to tropical Central and South America. It grows in moist forests and is found at elevations up to 2000 m. Its leaves are opposite and elliptic to obovate in shape. Its flowers are white and its fruits are red and fleshy.
