                        Description
                        
                            Triplochiton scleroxylon (also called African oak, among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree in the family Malvaceae. It is native to tropical Africa, where it is found in moist, low-lying areas, such as near streams and in wet forests. It is a large tree, growing up to 40 m tall, with a spreading crown and a trunk up to 2 m in diameter.
