Theobroma obovatum is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach up to 4 meters in height. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Propagation is best done through stem cuttings, which should be taken from healthy, mature plants in the spring or summer. The cuttings should be placed in a moist, well-drained soil mix and kept in a warm, humid environment until they have rooted.
