Mortoniodendron pentagonum (also called pentagon-leaved Mortoniodendron, among many other common names) is a shrub native to Central and South America. It has a rounded, spreading crown and a short trunk with a smooth, gray bark. The leaves are pentagonal, serrated, and dark green in color. It grows in moist forests, along rivers, and in valleys.
