                            Batesimalva violacea (also called Violacea Star Orchid, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Central and South America. It is a small epiphytic orchid with a single leaf and a short stem. The flowers are white and have a yellowish-green center. It grows in wet forests, usually in the canopy of trees.
