Description
Magnolia tripetala (also called Umbrella Magnolia, among many other common names) is a large evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. It has large, fragrant white flowers and glossy, dark green leaves. It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, as well as in disturbed areas such as roadsides and abandoned fields.

Magnolia tripetala is a small evergreen tree that grows up to 10 m tall. It is native to China and prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soils and full sun to partial shade. Propagation is by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a well-drained, light soil. Cuttings should be taken in late spring or early summer and rooted in a moist, well-drained soil.
