                        Description
                        
                            Struthanthus mexicanus (also called Mexican struthanthus, among many other common names) is a species of shrub native to Mexico. It is an evergreen shrub with lanceolate leaves that are typically 10–20 cm long and 2–3 cm wide. It is found in forests, thickets, and along streams in tropical and subtropical regions.

                            Struthanthus mexicanus is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a hedge.                             Struthanthus mexicanus has small, white flowers with yellow centers. The seed pods are long and thin, containing small, black seeds.                         Cultivation and Propagation
                        
                            Struthanthus mexicanus is a fast-growing, evergreen, perennial shrub that can be propagated by stem cuttings. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate a wide range of soil types. It can be propagated from cuttings taken in late spring or early summer. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, non-flowering stems and planted in a well-draining potting mix.
