Mentzelia congesta (also called Congested Blazing Star, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the western United States. It has a thick, succulent stem and can reach up to 1 meter in height. Its leaves are ovate and covered with white hairs. It is found in dry and open areas, such as grasslands and scrublands.
