Vandellia scutellariiformis (also called Shield-shaped Water-nymph, among many other common names) is an aquatic plant native to South America. It has a creeping rootstock and erect stems that can reach up to 30 cm in height. Its leaves are opposite, ovate-lanceolate, and have a serrated margin. It is found in rivers, lakes, and ponds.
