Leucobryum sumatranum (also called Sumatran Moss, among many other common names) is a species of moss native to the Americas, Europe, and Asia. It is a small, tufted moss with white or grayish-white shoots. It grows in moist, shady habitats, such as woodlands, meadows, and along streams.

Leucobryum sumatranum has small, white flowers that are borne in clusters. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings have a single, long, narrow leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Leucobryum sumatranum can be propagated by division or by sowing spores. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. It is best grown in a humus-rich, acidic soil.
