Description
Utricularia terrae-reginae (also called Utricularia inflata, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Lentibulariaceae family. It is a small herbaceous plant, growing up to 30cm tall. It is native to Australia, and is found in wetter areas, such as swamps, bogs and wet meadows.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Utricularia terrae-reginae are small, white and tubular, and are borne on long, thin stalks. The seeds are tiny, black and round, and are contained in a small, papery capsule. The seedlings are small and delicate, with small, round leaves.
Where to Find Utricularia terrae-reginae
Utricularia terrae-reginae is native to the southeastern United States, from Florida to Texas, and can be found in wet, sandy soils.
