Description
Eschweilera micrantha (also called 'Cascara Seca', among many other common names) is a small to medium-sized tree, usually reaching a height of 8–15 m. It is native to Central and South America, and is found in tropical rainforests, in areas with an average annual temperature of 20–25 °C. It has a straight trunk and a dense, rounded canopy.

Eschweilera micrantha has small, white flowers with a yellow center. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings are small and green.
Cultivation and Propagation
Eschweilera micrantha is a tree that can be propagated from seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained soil mix and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken from semi-ripe wood and rooted in a moist soil mix. Once established, the plant should be watered regularly and fertilized every few months.
