Description
Litsea penangiana (also called Penang Litsea, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to Malaysia. It grows in moist forests, thickets, and along streams at elevations of 600–2,400 m. The plant has simple, alternate leaves and white flowers. It produces small, yellow-green, edible fruits.

Litsea penangiana is used in traditional Chinese medicine for treating abdominal pain, diarrhea, and dysentery. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens.
