                        Description
                        
                            Cryptocarya ambrensis (also called Ambres laurel, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to Madagascar. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 15 m tall, with a single trunk and a crown of up to 30 leaves. It is found in humid forests, as well as in dry deciduous forests, and is also found in coastal areas.
