Description

Stachys officinalis (also called 'Betony', among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to Europe and Asia. It grows in moist meadows, grasslands, and open woodlands. It has a woody stem and grows up to 1 meter in height. Its leaves are ovate-lanceolate and its flowers are small and white.
