Description
Scutellaria filicaulis (also called Thread-stemmed skullcap, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Central Asia. It has a basal rosette of leaves and an erect stem with small, two-lipped, blue-violet flowers. It is found in dry, sunny meadows, rocky slopes, and forest edges.

The flower of Scutellaria filicaulis is a small, white, two-lipped, tubular flower with a yellow throat. The seed is a small, black, kidney-shaped nutlet with a smooth surface. The seedlings are small, with oval-shaped cotyledons and a single pair of true leaves.
