Cultivation and Propagation

Plectranthus niveus can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring or early summer in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. Division is best carried out in spring or autumn. Larger divisions can be planted out direct into their permanent positions, though it is best to pot up smaller divisions and grow them on in a cold frame until they are rooting well. Plant them out in the spring.
