Description
Gomphostemma deltodon (also called Deltodon Gomphostemma, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows up to 30 cm tall. It is native to South America, and is found in grasslands, open woodlands, and rocky hillsides.
Uses & Benefits
Gomphostemma deltodon is used in traditional medicine for treating fever, headaches, and stomach aches. It is also used as a natural dye for fabrics and as an ornamental plant.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Gomphostemma deltodon has white flowers with yellow centers and a star-shaped seed capsule. The seedlings are small, round and green. The seeds are small and black.
Cultivation and Propagation
