Isoetes viridimontana (also called Green Mountain Quillwort, among many other common names) is a small, aquatic plant with a short, slender stem and a rosette of bright green, narrow leaves. It is native to the Appalachian Mountains in the United States and grows in shallow water, such as ponds, lakes, and slow-moving streams.
